SACIA Training: Audio and video fundamentals for the broadcast industry
22 - 24 November



Delivered in collaboration with Training for TV, this three?day course will give an understanding of how audio and video signals, files and metadata are handled along the end to end broadcast chain from acquisition through production distribution and delivery. It also explains the technologies and techniques used to manage the storage of audio and video data in a broadcast environment and the main mechanisms by which base band video and audio is transported to the home using different delivery platforms including satellite, terrestrial, cable, IPTV and streaming.

It is aimed at:

• Engineers with a general electronics or IT background who are unfamiliar with the specific requirements of broadcast and media applications

• Recent technology graduates starting a career in broadcast and media

• Broadcast engineers and technicians requiring a refresher course in audio and video fundamentals

Course cost: R22,500. plus, VAT pp (less 15% for members of SACIA and affiliate bodies)
