Wild and Marr appoint new director

Gary Furman


Furman has served on the board of Wild & Marr (Pty) Ltd for the past 8 years, and has now been appointed national sales and marketing director for the Wild & Marr Group. This appointment is immediate and in order to meet the requirements of his new role, Furman has relocated to Wild & Marr’s JHB head office. He had previously established a sales office for Wild & Marr in and managed the KwaZulu Natal region for the last 12 years.

Furman has been involved in the professional audio industry since 1997, including two years in the professional audio distribution industry in the United Kingdom. Over and above the years of experience, he graduated from Henley Business School and The University of Redding, UK, with a MBA degree in 2014.

“In light of the growing competitiveness in the market and the challenging economic climate within which we compete, it is more important now than ever to ensure that our people add value to our customer’s companies. We need to understand our customers’ needs and deliver solutions and services that exceed their expectations. In order to achieve this in a sustainable manner we must ensure that our policies and procedures promote efficiency and effectiveness throughout our various business units, whilst still maintaining the ability to adapt to the ever increasing rates of change we find both in the markets we compete in and in the proliferation of new technologies,” says Furman.

Managing Director of Wild & Marr, Joe Copans, comments, “Gary has been a part of the Wild & Marr Family for over 17 years in total. He knows our products and people, has experience in our industry and most importantly he understands the Wild & Marr culture of developing and building relationships with our clients. We are extremely excited to have him on board in Johannesburg, where he will be managing the sales and marketing team at its core.”
