As a partner and collaborator, HARMAN Professional Solutions expanded its presence at IBC 2016 by working with key industry leaders to demonstrate innovative broadcast and recording solutions across the show floor. Avid, Artel Video Systems, Media Networking Alliance, DAVID Systems and Broadcast Solutions each showcased HARMAN functional solutions for attendees to experience firsthand. Attendees could also visit HARMAN Professional Solutions at stand 8.D60 to see the latest broadcast technologies, including a preview of Studer DIOS, a dynamic and intelligent routing control management system.

“As a broadcast industry leader, HARMAN Professional Solutions is pleased to partner closely with other industry vanguards to deliver the innovative technologies and solutions our customers require,” said Katy Templeman-Holmes, Solutions & Marketing, Broadcast, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “Not only can HARMAN provide complete system solutions, but our products also integrate with technologies from other vendors and fit seamlessly into existing systems.”

HARMAN Professional Solutions products were be featured by the following partners at IBC:

Avid

Avid offered visitors the chance to experience the Audio Post Mixing pod, featuring the award-winning Pro Tools | S6 modular control surface, Pro Tools | HDX system, and full Dolby Atmos and JBL system with the JBL 708i and 705i speakers, demonstrating the latest in theatrical and TV mixing workflows.

Artel Video Systems

HARMAN Professional Solutions showed visitors how the Artel InfinityLink broadcast media transport solution has been successfully deployed to transport Studer A-Link audio data streams across fibre infrastructures. A-Link, using Artel’s InfinityLink, now provides a flexible, cost-efficient and reliable digital audio interface capable of transmitting 1536 channels of “zero-latency” digital audio for transport between remote sites and the mixing console back at the studio.

Media Networking Alliance

The Media Networking Alliance demonstrated AES-67 signal interoperability with the Studer OnAir 1500 desk at stand 8.C94. The OnAir 1500 is a 12-channel console that provides a flexible hybrid solution for radio broadcasting and production.

DAVID Systems

Attendees could see the integration of DAVID Systems’ TurboPlayer Service and the Studer Glacier Series, which made its debut at IBC, at stand 3.A31. The integration allows for bi-directional control between the two products, with show rundown information and control embedded in the console. The high level of interaction between Studer Glacier Series and DAVID Systems playout greatly improves the user experience, and represents a compact, flexible solution that allows production facilities to enhance overall efficiency and optimize workflows in smaller studios and other applications.

Broadcast Solutions

Broadcast Solutions, one of Europe’s largest system integrators, showcased a new OB truck designed for SBS—the largest TV station in South Korea. The tailor-made truck, which is the first 4K UHD OB van for SBS, features a Studer Vista X large- scale mixing console in the audio control room, and will be on display at the outdoor area 0.D02.
